STUDIO GEOMORFOLOGICO DEL COMPRENSORIO DI VALLEMERITA (APPENNINO UMBRO-MARCHIGIANO SETTENTRIONALE)

Abstract

The main geomorphological characteristics of the Valleremita area are examined: this area is located in the northern sector of the Umbria-Marche ridge. The aim is an contribute information on the morphodynamic processes and on the relevant forms which characterize the landscape of this area as well as to reconstruct its morphological evolution. From a lithostratigraphic point of view, the area belongs to the Umbria-Marche sedimentary succession. Outcropping rocks belong to three groups with different lithological charac­ters which reflecting the changes in the tectonic and sedimen­tary evolution of the basin. [...]
