| Abstract: | The Teramo thrust outcrops to the East of the Gran Sasso Mountains, in the eastern sector of Marche-Abruzzi region; it shows Messinian foredeep deposits overriding those of Pliocene foredeep. The thrust has a roughly uniform direction of N160°-170° from the Vomano river in the North, to the Pescara river in the South. Also southward, it has an appeninic trend, between Mt. Morrone and Mt. Maiella. |
