ANALISI GEOLOGICO-STRUTTURALE NELLE FORMAZIONI OLIGO-MIOCENICHE DELL'AREA DELLA MONTAGNA DEI FIORI (MARCHE MERIDIONALI)

Abstract

The structural problems of the external portion of the umbria-marche apenninic chain are poorly known. This work is a contribution looking at the southern part of the outer-marchean area: it studies the Montagna dei Fio­ri structure, witch is a culmination of Mesozoico-Paleogenic tarraine between the Messinian foredeep silico-clastic deposits. W e studied the compressive deformation due to a decolle­ment witch affected the Oligo-Miocene marly deposits and we recognized the following deformation events: a layer parallel shortening, a layer parallel decollement and a thrust­ing with a lower decollement leve!, witch enucleated the M.dei Fiori anticline. The kinematic analysis reveal three different slip vectors: the N70°E one, witch is responsible for the shear zone or­ganization, and the N20°E and Nl50°E ones witch are less evident.
