Abstract: Historical news. Unti! 1859 we have indirect news about the stability problems of Montagnolo area, which regard the con­dition of the local roads, the coastal protection and a cadastral map dated 1815. The earliest document we have found is a report of 22nd May 1706, ordered by the Imperial Cardinal, regarding the road system, that started from Piano San Lazzaro and led to Torrette, through Posatora. The road system appeared rather damaged. [...]
