Abstract

1. In this first paragraph we define the plano-altimetrical movements of the external surface of a landslide, the only ones whose measure can be done by the instruments of modem classical surveying. These movements are: A - the planimetrie and altimetrie displacements of the external surface's well-defined points, solid with the body of the slide; B - the altimetrie deformations of the external surface. Movements A and B are distinguished in: "Principal" movements, the ones including the catastrophic part of the sliding event; "Settling" movements, the ones subsequent the paroxistyc phase until the movement's exhausting.
