Abstract: This work deals with the M. S.Angelo - M. Solenne overthrust that extends 20 Km from Morro Reatino (in the South) to Schioppo (in the North). The hangingwall (M. S.Angelo - M. Solenne Element) is divided into three compartments by N120° - trending transverse faults and is superimposed on the footwall (M. Berretta Element) along a W-dipping surface; the hangingwall and footwall are locally disjoined by a "horse" made of the Scaglia cinerea and the Scaglia rosata Formations (Colle Olivo Element). [...]
