REVISIONE DI Textulariella auruncensis CHIOCCHINI & DI NAPOLI, 1966 E DESCRIZIONE DI Sabaudia dinapoli n. sp., FORAMINIFERI BENTONICI DEL CRETACEO INFERIORE DEL LAZIO MERIDIONALE

Abstract

Textulariella auruncensis was described 'by CmoccHINr & DI NAPOLI (1966) in the Lower Cretaceous of the Aurunci Mountain􀁟 (Southern Latium, Italy). Several Authors (Gusic, 1975; DECROUEZ, 1977; ARNAUD-VANNEAU, 1980) regarde this species as probable younger synonymous of Sabaudia minuta (HoFKER), 1965. A revision of the originai materiai and the study of new samples from type-locality give the opportuni􀁹 of a very carefuldescription of examin­ed species and permit to refer it definitively to genus Sabaudia CHA:RoLLAISS & BRòNNIMAN, 1965. A new species of the genus Sabaudia occurs in the type­levei of S. auruncensis. This form has been partialÌy describ­ed .and temporary indicated as Sabaudia n.sp. in Cmoc­CHINI, MANCINELLI & ROMANO, 1984 and in ARNAUD­VANNEAU & CmocCHINI, 1985 (in press). This new species is described now completely by more abundant materiai and it is named Sabaudia dinapolii n.sp. lt can be differentiated facility in axial and longitudinal sections from all other well­known species of the genus Sabaudia: in fact its typical juvenarium is composed by very large proloculus and three sernicircular and laid one upon the other post-embionic chambers. Moreover the stratigraphic extension and the geographic distributiol) of two. studied species are also specified.
