REVISIONE AGGIORNAMENTO SUI MOVIMENTI TETTONICI DEDUCIBILI DALLE DISLOCAZIONI NEI SEDIMENTI PLEISTOCENICI ED OLOCENICI DELLA TOSCANA COSTIERA

Abstract

In this article we briefly report the fundamental stratigraphyc knowledge deducable from bibliography and the most recent observations. By coastal Tuscany we refer to the westernmost and insular part of this region in which Quaternary sea sediments may be found going back to the Santemian-Emilian cicle. Also examined are the criteria used to trace large range tettonic movements, with a selection of the methods used in the past. Also described are the data considered to be reliable for this research according to the proposed methodology into which the Quaternary is divided.
