Abstract: The southern part of the Mt. Coscerno-Rivodutri over­thrust, located in the southemmost Umbria-Marche Apen­nines, is described. The overall structure is characterized by a pair of asymmetrical eastward-verging folds whose com­mon overtumed limb is cut by a gently westward-dipping thrust fault. The hangingwall is locally cut by westward­dipping norma! faults whlch terminate against the thrust sur­face and do not propagate into the footwall. [...]
