Abstract: The considered "ridge" (60 x 25 km), constituted by a thick Upper Triassic - Upper Cretaceous carbonatic shelf sequence, followed - after the "Paleogenic" paraconformity - by Middle Miocenic limestones at its periphery, is built up by a stack of 16 principal volume units, separated by 15 low angle shear surfaces. Many are the obstacles to a valid reconstruction, among which: lack of subsurface data; difficult interpretation of the role, style and moment of genesis of the numerous shear surfaces, generated during severa! tectonic phases, reactivated many times, at times with inversions. Some points of this evolutive picture, not in ali respects clear or that have to be considered in future field works, are discussed in the last part of the paper.
