Abstract: Pfenderella arabica is the type species and only form known of the genus described by REDMOND in 1964. This species has cited up to day only in the type locality of Saudi Arabia. Severa! Authors, who have studied the microbiostratigraphy of Jurassic carbonate sediments of severa! areas in the Mesogean realm, have pictured sections of some species, indicating it with different names. Pfenderella arabica has been individuated now in the Upper Dogger carbonate platform sediments of the Aurunci and Lepini Mountains (Southern Latium). New observations both on the morphology of the shell and on the variability of the most significant biometrie caracters allow to complete both generic and specific REDMOND's diagnosis. Moreover the stratigraphic extension and ecologie significance of the studied species are olso specified. On the contrary the geographic distribution has been deduced on the basis of synonims.
