Abstract: A set of sand borrow-pits excavated in the Sele Plain southeast of Battipaglia between 200 and 300 meters from the present shoreline (Spineta site), allowed the description of liquefaction features in beach and dune deposits. The disturbed layer, about 200 cm thick, is truncated by a 50 cm plough zone. Liquefaction features are evident only in those stratigraphical intervals characterized by vari­able composition and/ or texture. [...]
