Abstract: In the Late Miocene of Centrai Italy the main mammalian assemblages come from the Baccinello basin, where five mamma! horizons are recorded (VO,Vl,V2,V3 and Arcille) ranging from the Lower Turolian (MN 11) to the Lower Villanyan (Lower Villafranchian, MN 16).
