Abstract: We have performed the study of the topography of the fault scarp that runs at the foot of the northem slope of Pi­ano di Pezza. This feature represents a unique element to characterize the seismogenic fault at depth because of its evi­dence, continuity and geology. Tue scarp displaces incoher­ent sediments as colluvium, alluvium and moraines of Late Pleistocene to Holocene age, testifying a late-Quaternary ac­tivity of the fault. [...]
