Abstract: The valley sides of the Umbria-Marche Apennines show widespread terraces that can be subdivided into different ord­ers. Four main orders of terraces are known by previous works (T3, T2, Tla and Tlb respectively from the lowest to the highest). They are quite similar to each other and charac­terized by thicknesses variable from a few decimetres up to 30 m.[...]
