Biokovina gradacensis GUSIC, 1977 (Foraminiferida) NEL LIAS MEDIO IN FACIES DI PIATTAFORMA CARBONATICA DEL LAZIO E DELL'ABRUZZO (APPENNINO CENTRALE, ITALIA)

Abstract

Biokovina gradacensis Gus1é, 1977 has been recognized for the first time in Italy, in two Middle Liassic carbonatic sequences of Sabina (Latium) and Abruzzi. The stratigraphic position and the paleoecologic significance of this recently described species are ex­actely defined. Some caracters of the origina! diagnosis are discuss­ed here, as the aperture into initial stage and the significance of the irregular microstructures cutting across the chamber lumina.
