dc.description.abstractThe geological evolution of the Apennines thrust belt is related to the deformation of different Mesozoic - Cenozoic paleo­geographical domains; the deformation developed during Neogene as a chain-foredeep-foreland system in the margin of the Adria plate. Since Middle(?)-Upper Pliocene the thrust belt went through an extensional tectonics.
