UN NUOVO CRITERIO DI VALUTAZIONE DEL RISCHIO SISMICO A NEW APPROACH FOR SEISMIC HAZARD EVALUATION

Abstract

In this work we present and discuss a new approach for Seismic Hazard. Evaluation which is based on the assessment of four parameters that characterize the geologica! behaviour of the sites and the vulnerability of the urban Systems. These parameters may be derived from: 1) Evaluation of seismogenetic faults (tectonic hazard); 2) Estimates of the potential for the liquefaction of granular non-cohesive sediments; 3) The assessment of landslide risk; 4) The vulnerability of the built-up areas.
