Abstract: The Umbria-Marche-Sabina mountain front is bounded by a 250 km long, arc-shaped thrust zone extending from Olevano Romano, to the south, to the Foglia River Valley to the north. Along its southern portion ("Olevano-Antrodoco Line" Auct.), this structure produces the tectonic superposition of the Umbria­Sabina Meso-Cenozoic succession on top of the Latium-Abruzzi carbonate platform succession. To the north, ("Monti Sibillini Thrust" Auct.) a tectonic repetition of the Umbria-Marche suc­cession occurs along the thrust zone. This consists of two main en-échelon segments. [...]
